Ingredients

8 oz spaghetti

1 lb ground beef (or turkey)

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup marinara sauce

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced red onion

1/2 cup sliced black olives

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

1 package mini taco shells

Cooking spray

Instructions

Cook the Spaghetti: In a large pot, add water with a generous pinch of salt and bring to a rapid boil. Add the spaghetti and cook as per the package instructions until it reaches an al dente texture. Once cooked, drain the spaghetti and set it aside in a large mixing bowl.

Prepare the Meat: In a large skillet set over medium heat, add the ground beef (or turkey). Cook the meat, breaking it apart with a spatula, until it's browned throughout. If there's excess fat, drain it off carefully.

Add Flavor: Once the meat is cooked, sprinkle the taco seasoning evenly over it. Then pour in the marinara sauce, mixing them together thoroughly. Lower the heat to a simmer and allow the mixture to cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the flavors meld and the sauce is warmed through.

Combine the Pasta: Add the seasoned meat mixture to the bowl containing the cooked spaghetti. Gently toss together until all strands of spaghetti are well-coated in the delicious meaty sauce.

Build the Taco Bites: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a mini muffin tin by lightly spraying it with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Carefully fill each mini taco shell with the spaghetti and meat mixture, pressing down gently to ensure they are packed without spilling over.

Top it Off: Generously sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of each filled taco shell, ensuring they are well-covered for a cheesy finish.

Bake: Place the muffin tin in your preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes. Keep an eye on the taco bites until the cheese is melted and starts to bubble.

Garnish: Once baked, remove the muffin tin from the oven and allow the taco bites to cool for a few minutes. Before serving, top each bite with diced red onion, sliced black olives, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro for added flavor and color.

Serve: Carefully remove the mini spaghetti taco bites from the muffin tin using a small spoon. Serve warm, and enjoy this delightful fusion of two beloved dishes!

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 12 taco bites
