Ingredients

1 cup fresh blueberries (plus extra for garnish)

2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (approximately 4-6 lemons)

4 cups water

Ice cubes

Lemon slices (for garnish)

Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Make the Lavender Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, granulated sugar, and the dried lavender. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring continuously until the sugar has fully dissolved. Once dissolved, lower the heat and let it simmer gently for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors of the lavender to infuse. After simmering, remove the pan from the heat and let the syrup cool. Once it has cooled, strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve to remove the lavender buds, and set the syrup aside.

Prepare the Blueberries: In a medium bowl, use a fork or a potato masher to mash the fresh blueberries until they have reached a mostly puréed consistency. For a smoother texture, you can also blend the blueberries in a blender. Once mashed, set the bowl aside.

Combine Ingredients: In a large pitcher, mix together the blueberry mash, the cooled lavender syrup, and the freshly squeezed lemon juice. Stir the mixture thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Add Water: Gradually pour in the remaining 3 cups of water into the pitcher, stirring as you go to ensure an even blend of flavors. Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness or tartness to your liking by adding additional sugar or lemon juice if desired.

Chill and Serve: Place the Blueberry Lavender Lemonade in the refrigerator and let it chill for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to harmonize. When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice and pour the lemonade over the ice. Garnish each glass with fresh blueberries, a slice of lemon, and mint leaves, if you like.

Enjoy: Delight in this fragrant and refreshing Blueberry Lavender Lemonade, a perfect beverage for warm days or special gatherings!
